Hearts to Arts, a Mill City non profit formed in 2008, has been producing Art Mart , a monthly market place for crafts and arts sales since 2021 at Stewart’s Hall , 158 SW Broadway in Mill City. This was a project by H2A board member Ken Cartwright and was managed by him. Ken has been and is still looking for someone to replace him so this successful event can continue. It generally runs on the first Saturday of the month from September and ends in April . Art Mart has been very successful for the art and craftspersons in the Santiam Canyon. Pete holds a BS in Engineering and Computer Science from Cal State Northridge. Through the course of his career he worked in everything from aerospace to banking. His last 15 years he worked at College of the Canyons in California where he oversaw technology advancement, finally serving as the Dean of the Economic and Workforce Development division. His division served the community by creating opportunities for individuals, small businesses and major regional employers. Since retiring and moving to Oregon 5 years ago Pete has rediscovered his passion for music.
